The Best Productivity Hacks of All Time
Are you struggling to get your home-based business up and running? Are you finding that it’s taking you longer than you thought it would? You’re not alone. Most people struggle with this.
There are many reasons why you may be having trouble getting started. The most common reason is that people don’t take action or they don’t follow through.
You need to make sure that you have a plan in place for how you want your home-based business to look like in the next 90 days, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years. Once you have this plan in place you need to set aside the next week or so to actually implement this plan. This will be the only time that you will actually be able to get something done.
If you’re struggling to get things done, here are some productivity hacks to help you out:
1) Make a list of everything that you need to do.
Once you’ve identified what you need to get done, create a list of all the tasks that you need to complete.
2) Prioritize your list.
Now that you have your list, prioritize it from the top down. For example, if you’re trying to build a list of customers, the top priority would be to create a list of people who would be interested in your product. Once you have your list, make sure that you are going to work on your top priority first before moving on to the rest.
3) Plan your day.
Create a daily plan. If you don’t have one, make one. There are plenty of resources online that will give you ideas on how to create a daily plan.
4) Set realistic goals.
Don’t set yourself too high expectations. If you’re just starting out, your goal should be to get at least 1 lead a week. Once you have this number in mind, create a schedule that will allow you to meet this goal. If you don’t reach this goal, it doesn’t mean that you failed. It means that you simply didn’t achieve your goal. Just move on and keep working toward your next goal.
5) Reward yourself when you achieve your goals.
When you reach your goals, reward yourself. This will help motivate you to keep going.
6) Take advantage of free tools.
Free tools can really help you increase your productivity. For example, if you are trying to create a list of leads, you can use Google’s keyword tool to find relevant keywords that people are using to find products similar to yours. Use these keywords to create an ad. When people click on your ad, they’ll be taken to your website where you can capture their information.
7) Use the Pomodoro Technique.
The Pomodoro Technique is a great technique that allows you to focus on a specific task for 25 minutes and then take a 5 minute break. When you take a break, go outside, get a cup of coffee, do whatever you want. When you come back, you’ll be refreshed and ready to get back to work.
8) Use the Pomodoro technique to increase your productivity.
By doing the Pomodoro Technique you’ll be able to focus on one task for 25 minutes and then have a 5-minute break. This will allow you to get more done in less time. You’ll also be able to stay focused on your tasks and avoid distractions.
9) Get rid of distractions.
One of the biggest obstacles that I faced when I was trying to get my home-based business off the ground was distractions. I had a television, internet, cell phone, and even friends calling me throughout the day.
I knew that I needed to get rid of all of these distractions but I didn’t know how to do it. What I did instead was get a headset for my phone and put it on while I was working. I also turned off my internet and television. By doing this I was able to eliminate a lot of distractions.
10) Use a timer.
Set a timer to remind you when it’s time to take a break. This will help you stay focused.
11) Use a whiteboard.
If you’re sitting at your desk, it can be hard to remember what you were supposed to be doing. To solve this problem, get a whiteboard and draw a big circle on it. Inside of the circle, write the name of each task that you need to complete. Every time that you finish a task, draw a line under it. This way, you’ll be able to see what you need to do and where you’re at in terms of your overall plan.
12) Have a checklist.
Create a checklist for each task that you need to accomplish. This will help you to stay organized.
13) Use a calendar.
Use a calendar to track the days that you need to complete each task.
14) Get rid of your to-do list.
Get rid of your to-do lists. Instead, create a checklist for each task that needs to be completed.
15) Use a pen and paper.
If you’re working on a computer, you may find that it’s hard to concentrate because you’re staring at a blank screen. To solve this problem, buy a small notebook. Write down all of your tasks and then put the notebook in your pocket. Whenever you feel the urge to check email or surf the web, pull out the notebook and write down what you need to do.
